Services Offered:
SARNAK members are experienced backcountry searchers with Basic Wildland Search, ICS 100 and 700 certifications, undergo an annual pack test to ensure physical fitness, and are skilled in Cal/SarTopo and teamwork. The team includes HAM radio operators, Wilderness First Responders, and DEC Certified Crew Bosses. We utilize IamR as our paging system and can give resource estimates within an hour. SARNAK can be deployed as self-sufficient teams and/or on a team led by your agency.
- Backcountry and frontcountry search
- Remote wellness checks for individuals in hard-to-reach camps and backcountry locations during disasters
- Medical support (BLS level) for backcountry, community-led sporting events
- Disaster response support
